World Vision in Haiti
World Vision has worked in Haiti for more than 30 years and assists over 300,000 people annually in 20 Area Development Programs in five regions of the country. Approximately 50,000 children in 200 rural communities are sponsored through World Vision in the country. World Vision has the experience, the local networks and the expertise to handle natural disasters that often hit this country, including the devestating earthquake that struck on January 12, 2010.
World Vision is working in Haiti for not only for the emergency relief phase but for the longer-term to help rebuild the country.
