I visited Haiti in 2016 and 2018 and witnessed first hand the progress that took place in bringing clean water to World Vision’s Area Development Projects.
One of the main focuses was to have sustainable methods for providing clean, safe water for families in the Central Plateau, like the Leon’s. Their daughter, Catiana is my sponsor child. Meeting them has highlighted the reality of farming families trying to care for their families in a country where water is scarce and often unsafe. From chlorinated water systems, water tanks, to chlorine tablets, the communities are finding ways to make their water safe to drink for now and the future.
