The Fredericton Playhouse was rockin’ last night as a sold out crowd heard country music superstar Paul Brandt and opening act High Valley deliver some great music. It was an enthusiastic crowd, and a tweet from Paul Brandt read “Fredericton, NB sets the bar for loudest crowd on the tour so far!!”
High Valley is three brothers, Brad, Bryan and Curtis Rempel from Le Crete, Alberta. I had a chance to meet with them before the show, and I was very impressed by the wonderful passion these young men have for children and for their active support of World Vision. During the show, Brad told the story of meeting his own sponsored child in Dominican Republic, said how excited he was to hear how Fredericton is engaging with Haiti through FreddyLink, and invited the audience to save a child’s life by sponsoring a child through FreddyLink. And the audience responded – fourteen people signed up to sponsor a child in Haiti through FreddyLink!

Although I confess I am not a fan of country music, I am now a fan of these artists. I am inspired by their passion for helping children in need.
