To mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60thanniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada, a new commemorative medal was created. The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal will honour significant contributions and achievements by 60,000 Canadians. A number of partner organization were invited to nominate candidates for this special honour.
I am pleased to announce that I was nominated by World Vision Canada for this medal for my work with FreddyLink. My wife Donna and I will be going to a special recognition dinner at World Vision Canada headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario on Sunday January 27 to receive my medal.
